At Summerslam, Austin is set to defend his title against Kurt Angle. But tonight, Austin steps in the ring with The Dudley Boyz, Bubba Ray Dudley & D-Von Dudley, to take on Kurt Angle & The Hardy Boyz, Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy.
Also on this show, Perry Saturn is going through some troubles, as his precious MOPPY is stolen from him during his match with Raven! Perry gets the police involved. It’s that serious. Booker T & Shane McMahon call out The Rock, and X-Pac has an issue with William Regal, leading to a tag match with X-Pac & Albert taking on the returning Spike Dudley & Tajiri!
The WWF & WCW Tag Team Championships are both on the line on this episode of SmackDown, as well. The APA, Bradshaw & Faarooq, defend the WWF Tag Team Titles against DDP & Kanyon, while Sean O’Haire & Chuck Palumbo defend the WCW Tag Team Titles against The Undertaker & Kane.
Of course, we can’t forget about the moment on this show that’ll be replayed in video packages & intros for years to come; Rhyno attacks Chris Jericho after his match with Hugh Morrus, and GORES him through the SmackDown set.
