“If 10,000 little Hulksters couldn’t stop me, you sure can’t!”
Hulk Hogan is known for a lot of things, with one of them being his iconic mustache. On this episode of WCW Monday Nitro from October 2nd, 1995, we see the beginning of the end of Hulkamania. At least, that’s what The Taskmaster & The Dungeon of Doom thought.
The Giant has set out to destroy Hulkamania, with instructions from The Taskmaster, The Dungeon Master, and the rest of the Dungeon of Doom. The Giant has already injured Hulk Hogan’s neck, and Jimmy Hart has already warned The Hulkster that he’s in no condition to take on The Giant right now. But, that isn’t going to stop Hogan from trying to get revenge here tonight. Little does he know, Kevin Sullivan had a plan. That plan? Dress up like an old lady, and attack both Hogan & Jimmy Hart, before shaving his mustache off his face!
We also have two HUGE main event matches on this episode, one that starts the show, and one that ends the show.
We open the show with “Macho Man” Randy Savage taking on Lex Luger, in a high stakes match. If Luger loses, he says he will quit the WCW, even though he just got here about a month ago. At the end of the show, we see a grudge match between two former best friends, as “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair takes on “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson. Of course, Arn isn’t alone, and he has Brian Pillman waiting to take out Flair at any moment.
Also on this show, we see, for the first time ever on Nitro, a 1-on-1 encounter between Eddie Guerrero & Dean Malenko, which is almost ruined by a Disco Inferno entrance.
All of that, and so much more, on this edition of the DEADLOCK Podcast!
